Born and raised in Finland, Vaell's name is short for "vaellushalu" which roughly translates to English as the word for "wanderlust". This name certainly couldn't be more apt for this avid traveller, as he seeks out every opportunity to learn more about the world around him.
With a scientific mind and a creative heart, Vaell loves to combine fact with imagination and is always keeping track of ideas in his journal. Some of these vary from simple anecdotes from his travels, to vivid diagrams and detailed notes about concepts that have come to his mind. He is somewhat eager to prove that there is more to the world around us than what we see, although he doesn't really know how best to go about this.

Vaell is rarely without his bag and journal, which follows him almost everywhere he goes. The only time he will be without it is if it is safely secured somewhere.

He is a very logical individual who will draw conclusions as soon as he is able to connect the dots. This does sometimes mean he can make judgements too quickly for his own good.

He speaks broken English due to having been born and raised in Finland away from much of the rest of the world. He is slowly learning.

He is slim and fluffy, which means he may look bigger than he really is due to the extreme fluff.

His tail is roughly the same length as his body. It often trails on the ground but handily doubles up as a scarf.
