Once a prisoner from a far-off world, Luura was accidentally brought into being by an accidental spell that was cast by Twila. The spell was a long-forgotten enchantment that she had found in one of the ancient tomes within a library she frequented, and at first she didn't really understand what she had done. Out of her tail however sprung a fierce predator, who would later come to be known as Luura.

Although Twila was initially fearful of what she had done, it soon became apparent that Luura was more grateful of his release than he was interested in attacking her. It was an extremely unlikely bond, but one that would ultimately become a blessing to both. With Luura's protection, Twila has a reason to not be as scared of others as she once was, whilst Luura was just glad that he had broken free of his chains. He has yet to explain just what torture and experiences he had had to endure, but for the time being this was of no consequence to either of them.

One of the results of his 'birth' into the world was that he was given the ability to transform. This was another accidental side effect of her enchantment, but soon proved to be extremely useful for all sorts of reasons. Luura is devoted to ensuring Twila is protected and safe, and will stop at nothing to ensure this remains the case.
